1. Who we are
Pikly is an inventory management product operated by [Legal Company Name] (“Pikly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our registered address is [Registered Address]. You can contact us at founder@pikly.pro.
Pikly helps users manage inventory with item creation, search, barcode scanning, receiving, dispatching, transfers, categories, locations, bins, basic alerts, and CSV export.
2. Privacy-first summary
Our default approach: Pikly is designed to keep your inventory data on your device. We do not operate Pikly as an advertising platform, we do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- No cloud inventory storage by default. Your item names, quantities, barcodes, categories, locations, bins, alerts, and CSV exports are intended to stay locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
- No advertising tracking. Pikly does not use your inventory data for ads and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Subscriptions only. Paid access, free trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are processed by app stores or subscription/payment providers such as [Subscription Provider].
- Device permissions are limited. Camera access is used for barcode scanning. File or photo access is used only when you choose to import, attach, export, or save files. Notifications are used only if you enable alerts.
- Future features may change this. If we add accounts, cloud sync, team workspaces, analytics, AI features, integrations, or online backups, we will update this Privacy Policy before or when those features become available.
3. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Pikly website, mobile applications, waitlist or early-access forms, subscriptions, support communications, and any service that links to this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment providers, device operating systems, or services that we do not control. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
4. Data we process
Pikly is designed to minimize personal data processing. The table below explains what may be processed depending on how you use the app and website.
| Category | Examples | How it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Local inventory data | Item names, SKUs, barcodes, quantities, categories, locations, bins, notes, stock alerts, receive/dispatch/transfer records, CSV files. | Stored locally on your device by default. Pikly does not intentionally collect, upload, sell, or access this data unless you choose to export it, share it, contact support with it, or enable a future cloud feature. |
| Subscription and purchase data | Subscription status, product identifier, plan, trial status, renewal status, cancellation status, app-store transaction or purchase identifier, limited fraud-prevention or tax information. | Processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe, RevenueCat, or another provider, depending on how subscriptions are implemented. Pikly may receive limited information needed to unlock paid features and manage subscriptions. We do not intentionally receive or store full payment card numbers. |
| Voluntary contact data | Email address, name, message content, support requests, bug reports, waitlist or early-access signup information. | Collected only if you choose to contact us, join a waitlist, request support, or subscribe to product updates. |
| Website and security data | IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, timestamps, basic logs, security events. | May be processed by our hosting, domain, email, or security providers to deliver the website, prevent abuse, debug errors, and maintain security. We do not use this data for advertising profiles. |
| Device permissions | Camera for barcode scanning, file/photo access for imports or exports, notification permission for alerts. | Used only after you grant permission through your device settings. You can disable permissions at any time in your device settings. |
| Legal and business records | Invoices, tax records, consent records, subscription communications, refund requests, dispute records. | Processed only as needed for legal, accounting, tax, consumer protection, and compliance purposes. |
5. Data we do not collect or use
As currently designed, Pikly does not intentionally collect or use:
- your local inventory database or stock records;
- cross-app advertising identifiers for tracking;
- precise GPS location;
- contacts from your address book;
- biometric identifiers;
- sensitive personal information such as health information, religion, political opinions, union membership, racial or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation;
- full payment card numbers; or
- children’s personal information.
Please do not place sensitive personal information in item names, notes, photos, CSV files, support messages, or other content unless you are legally permitted to do so and it is necessary for your use of Pikly.
6. How we use data
We use the limited data described above to:
- provide local inventory features on your device;
- validate subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and paid feature access;
- respond to support requests and product questions;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the website and app;
- send service, billing, subscription, or security messages where necessary;
- send optional waitlist, launch, or product update messages only if you ask to receive them or where permitted by law;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, consumer protection, and app-store obligations; and
- enforce our Terms of Service and protect the rights, safety, and security of Pikly, users, and the public.
7. Legal bases for processing
Where laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, LGPD, or similar laws require a legal basis, we rely on the following bases:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing app functionality, subscription access, customer support, and requested services. | Performance of a contract or steps taken before entering into a contract. |
| Website security, fraud prevention, debugging, abuse prevention, and business administration. | Legitimate interests, balanced against your rights and expectations. |
| Tax, accounting, consumer protection, payment, app-store, and legal compliance. | Compliance with legal obligations. |
| Optional waitlist emails, marketing updates, push notifications, and non-essential cookies if added later. | Consent, where required. You may withdraw consent at any time. |
| Legal claims, investigations, or urgent safety matters. | Legal claims, vital interests, legitimate interests, or another lawful basis available under applicable law. |
10. Data retention
Because Pikly is local-first, inventory data stored only on your device remains on your device until you delete it, export it, back it up, uninstall the app, reset your device, or otherwise manage it through your device.
| Data type | Retention approach |
|---|---|
| Local inventory data | Controlled by you on your device. Pikly cannot recover local-only data if it is deleted, lost, or removed by uninstalling the app. |
| Subscription and purchase records | Retained by app stores or payment/subscription providers according to their policies and legal obligations. Pikly retains only what is necessary to validate paid access, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. |
| Support communications | Retained as needed to respond, maintain business records, troubleshoot issues, and defend legal claims, unless deletion is requested and no legal basis requires retention. |
| Website and security logs | Retained for a limited period needed for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and legal compliance, unless longer retention is required for an incident or legal obligation. |
| Waitlist or launch-update data | Retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent, request deletion, or the data is no longer needed. |
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent for the processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.
To exercise rights, contact us at founder@pikly.pro. We may need to verify your identity. If the data you ask about is stored only on your device, we may not have access to it and you may need to manage or delete it directly in the app or your device settings.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California and other U.S. states
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive information uses, and be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights. Pikly does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Brazil
Brazilian residents may have rights under the LGPD, including confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data, portability, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent, and review of certain automated decisions where applicable.

Canadian users may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, and information about our privacy practices. You may also challenge our compliance with applicable privacy principles.
South Korea
Korean users may request access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, and other rights available under applicable Korean privacy laws. Where required, we will provide additional notices or consent flows in Korean.
12. International data transfers
Subscription providers, app stores, hosting providers, email providers, and support providers may process limited information in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections, data processing agreements, standard contractual clauses, transfer impact assessments, and other legally recognized mechanisms.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the limited data we process. For local inventory data, your device security is especially important because the data is intended to remain on your device.
You are responsible for protecting your device, enabling operating-system security features, keeping backups if needed, protecting exported CSV files, and controlling who can access your device or exported files. No system is completely secure.
14. Children
Pikly is intended for business and productivity use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under a higher age where local law requires parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting a notice in the app or on the website, sending an email if we have your email address, or updating the “Last updated” date. If new processing requires consent, we will ask for consent where required by law.
